Full Overview
The post-pandemic landscape has given rise to remote and hybrid work models that are here to stay. Research shows that 91% of polled employees seek work flexibility, while 39% reported they would change their jobs if forced to go back to full time in-office work. However, while employees look for flexibility they also consistently report their desire for connectivity: disconnection from company culture and poor team communication are often cited as top reasons for leaving a place of work. Years on from the forced remote work of the pandemic, companies need to proactively and intentionally revisit their hybrid working strategy and address these new and sometimes conflicting expectations.
It is becoming increasingly evident that merely adopting hybrid work practices without deliberate planning, can lead to negative outcomes and challenges for companies and employees. 80% of human resources executives report that the hybrid model is proving to be exhausting for employees due to disconnection from company culture, social isolation, poor communication, inconsistent in-office versus remote practices and a virtual overload that hinders collaboration, productivity and leads to employee burnout. To create a successful work-from-anywhere environment and to attract and retain talent in an evolving labour market, leaders will have to radically reassess their approach.
This webinar presented by the Financial Times in partnership with RingCentral will explore the challenges and strategies in creating a connected and productive ‘work-from-anywhere’ environment. The discussion will evaluate what is needed to progress from the forced remote work of the pandemic to a dynamic, productive and intentional hybrid work strategy and will be focused around the concerns of HR Directors, Transformation Directors and CIOs
